Gunners Taxidermy, Inc. is a licensed USDA approved establishment to receive Avian trophies from around the world. Gunners will assist the hunter with importation, disinfect the import to USDA standards, and either provide the taxidermy or send to another taxidermist once disinfected. If you are planning a hunt abroad please contact Gunners well in advance to coordinate the import and clearance of your trophies. Please see price list below for charges incurred for USDA clearance.

Gunners can also assist you in getting your Big Game trophies back to the USA from abroad. Gunners will use the most economical avenues to get your trophies state side while assuring the trophies safe care during transit. We typically use Houston as the port of entry with Well Worldwide Energy Logistics, USA, expediting the clearance. Houston Fur Dressing, LLC at that point will pick up the trophies and dress all of the skins which saves the client shipping charges state side. Please contact Gunners well in advance of your trip to coordinate the importation of your trophies. Prices for importation vary due to weight of shipment , contents and origination of the shipment.

Pre-import set up: $100.00
Provide hunter with pre-filled out VS16-78 forms, copies of approved establishment paperwork, copies of US Fish and Wildlife 3-177's with instructions, prior notification to USDA and Fish and Wildlife agents at the border, assistance in logistics at Port of Entry, orchestrate the use of a broker should they be needed.

USDA Permit usage fee: $100.00 per hunter importing bird trophies

Clearance fees (Gunners gets the taxidermy work):

Ducks, unskinned: $60.00 per duck for clearance
Ducks, skinned: $40.00 per duck for clearance
Turkeys, both Goulds and Ocellated,: $100.00 per turkey for clearance

Clearance fees (Gunners does not get the taxidermy work):

Ducks, unskinned: $60.00 per duck for clearance plus $125.00 per duck for skinning and fleshing
Ducks, skinned: $40.00 per duck for clearance plus $75.00 per duck for fleshing
Turkeys, both Goulds and Ocellated,: $100.00 per turkey for clearance plus $250.00 per turkey for skinning and fleshing
